Bexar County — what you need to know

⚠️ Bexar County requires two documents attached to every new petition at filing: the Civil District Judge's Standing Order and the Civil Case Information Sheet. Both are included in your wizard filing package automatically.

The Standing Order takes effect immediately upon filing. Evidentiary hearings and temporary orders are docketed at 9:00 AM.

Many Bexar County forms are available in Spanish via TexasLawHelp and the District Clerk's office. If you prefer Spanish-language instructions, select that option in your wizard.

Note: Inventory & Appraisement is required only at trial if property or support is contested — not at initial filing.
