What Missouri requires — before you file

90-day residency. You or your spouse must have lived in Missouri for at least 90 days before filing for dissolution.

30-day waiting period. Missouri requires at least 30 days from the date of filing before a dissolution decree can enter.

Financial disclosure required. Both parties must exchange statements of income, expenses, assets, and debts.
Missouri says 'dissolution of marriage' not divorce, and uses 'legal custody' and 'physical custody.'
