1 180-day residency. You or your spouse must have lived in Kentucky for at least 180 days before filing for dissolution.
2 60-day waiting period. Kentucky requires at least 60 days from the date of filing before a decree can enter.
3 Financial disclosure required. Both parties must exchange financial disclosure statements.
Kentucky says 'dissolution of marriage' not divorce. Kentucky uses 'timesharing' for parenting schedules and 'joint custody' broadly.
