What Idaho requires — before you file

6-week residency. You or your spouse must have lived in Idaho for at least 6 weeks before filing for divorce.

No mandatory waiting period. Idaho has no statutory waiting period for uncontested divorce.

Financial disclosure required. Both parties must exchange financial information covering income, assets, and debts.
Idaho uses 'legal custody' and 'physical custody.' Idaho is a community property state — most property acquired during marriage is split equally.
