FL-320 - California Judicial Council

Responsive Declaration to Request for Order

Your written response when the other party has filed a Request for Order and you need to put your side on the record.

What this form does

When someone files an FL-300 against you, FL-320 is your answer. You address each request they made, agree or disagree, and state what you are asking the court to do instead. This is your chance to tell your side before the hearing. Not filing one means the judge only hears from the other party.

Who needs to file it

The respondent — the person who was served with an FL-300 Request for Order.

When to file it

File before the hearing. Check the date on the papers you were served — your deadline is typically before the hearing date.

What happens after you file

Your response is served on the other party. Both parties present at the hearing and the judge decides.

Filing fee: No separate filing fee.
