FL-160 - California Judicial Council

Property Declaration

List all assets and debts in your marriage so the court can divide them fairly.

What this form does

FL-160 is a detailed inventory of everything the marriage accumulated — real estate, bank accounts, retirement accounts, vehicles, debts, businesses. California is a community property state, meaning everything acquired during the marriage is generally split 50/50. The FL-160 gives the court the information it needs to divide property correctly.

Who needs to file it

Both parties in a dissolution case. Each person files their own.

When to file it

Filed as part of the financial disclosure process in a dissolution case.

What happens after you file

The court uses the FL-160 to understand what property exists and how it should be divided in the judgment.

Filing fee: No separate filing fee.
