Findings and Order After Hearing
The written order the court issues after a family law hearing, laying out exactly what was decided.
What this form does
After a hearing, the judge's verbal ruling needs to be put in writing. FL-340 is the form that does that. It captures what orders were made, what findings the court reached, and what each party must do. Once signed, it is enforceable — not just something the judge said in court.
Who needs to file it
Typically prepared by the prevailing party after the hearing.
When to file it
Prepared after a hearing, submitted to the judge for signature, then filed with the court.
What happens after you file
Once signed and filed, the order is enforceable. Violations can be addressed through contempt proceedings.
