What Delaware requires — before you file

6-month residency. You or your spouse must have lived in Delaware for at least 6 months before filing for divorce.

No mandatory waiting period for uncontested cases. Delaware does not impose a waiting period for uncontested divorces.

Financial disclosure required. Both parties must provide financial information covering income, assets, and debts.
